Your Profile

We are looking for an experienced Bunker Trader or Key Account Manager who wants to take the next step towards a more integrated way of working with customers. With our recent digitalization efforts through Fuelink, a bunker data management and fuel supply optimization app, we help our customers transition smoothly towards sustainability.

Your main task will be to grow our book of bunker management customers by offering a full end-to-end service supported by the Fuelink app and its post-fixing team. You’ll have a unique value proposition, offering a one-stop-shop solution to the market. Your audience will range from operators and new-fuels specialists to technical departments and C-level management, promoting and selling a concept that involves various departments within a traditional shipping company.

We need you to be a creative, curious, result-driven individual committed to lifelong learning and self-development, and driven by meeting and exceeding sales targets while making a difference to our customers!

You could be the perfect fit if you:

  • Have 3-5 years of experience with marine fuels trading
  • Are a good listener and problem solver
  • Hold a degree in business or a related field
  • Have proven success in commercial sales environments
  • Are enthusiastic about working with people and delivering solutions to customer challenges
  • Possess excellent written and spoken English skills; additional languages are a plus
  • Are eager to engage in solution selling
  • Have an interest in technology and digital solutions

About the Job

You will be part of the Baseblue Key Account Team and report directly to the Director of the department. You will work across our offices in Greece, Cyprus, and the Netherlands, with customers primarily located in Europe, but not limited to this region. You’ll be working with some of the best in the industry in a group with a flat hierarchy and open ears. We are flexible about which office you prefer to be located in, whether in Greece, Cyprus, or the Netherlands, as we all work as a team under the same culture.

You will build your own portfolio of selective customers, as well as manage existing customers of Baseblue.

More specifically, your day-to-day tasks include:

  • Conducting global buying and selling of marine fuels
  • Advising customers on fuel strategies, considering regulations and innovations in new fuels
  • Supporting the team in achieving ambitious sales targets
  • Engaging in client and supplier visits around the world
